Im Jahr 2015 gr\u00fcndete er das International Institute for the Study of Kurdish Societies (IISKS) in G\u00f6ttingen, dessen Direktor er bis heute ist. Ein Jahr sp\u00e4ter wurde Chaman Ara Fakult\u00e4tsmitglied der Abteilung f\u00fcr kurdische Sprache und Literatur an der Universit\u00e4t Kurdistan, Iran. Insbesondere leitete er das Kurdistan Studies Institute (KSI) an der Universit\u00e4t Kurdistan.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Als Experte f\u00fcr kurdische Sprache und Literatur hat Dr. Chaman Ara wichtige Monographien wie &#8222;The Kurdish Shahnama (Rostam and Sohrab)&#8220; (2016) und &#8222;Towards a Standard Kurdish Orthography&#8220; (2022) verfasst. Seine j\u00fcngsten Artikel, darunter &#8222;Kurdish Lexicography&#8220; im Oxford Handbook of Kurdish Linguistics (mit M. Chyet und Z. Naghshbandi) und &#8222;Self-Identification and Language Designation in Literary Gurani&#8220; (2023), zeugen von seinem Engagement f\u00fcr die Wissenschaft.
