TISHK Center for Kurdistan Studies is launching its 2024 seminar series, beginning with a seminar titled "The Intellectual Justification of Sovereign Power: Representations of the Kurds in Turkish Scholarship"
The seminar will be presented by Dr. Idris Ahmedi, Senior lecturer in political science at Karlstad University, Sweden. Idris Ahmedi holds a BA in theoretical philosophy and a PhD in political science from Stockholm University. He has taught at Stockholm University, Swedish National Defence University, and Södertörn University. He is currently an Assistant Professor at Karlstad University. In addition to teaching courses in political philosophy, international politics, and social science methodology, he conducts research on the Middle East.
The Seminar will be moderated and led by Davoud Osmanzadeh, PhD. Researcher of Sociology at Central European University at Vienna.
Scheduled for Sunday, August 25, 2024, at 7 PM (Central European Time), the seminar will be conducted in Kurdish Language. The Session includes a 10-minute introduction, a 20-minute presentation, a 20-minute panel discussion, and a 10-minute QA and conclusions. Participants can join via Zoom using the provided link.
