We are pleased to announce that the renowned TISHK Magazine will be an official part of our Center as of spring 2024 and from May 2024 our new TISHK Magazine will be published under ISSN (Print) 2942-7916 and ISSN (Online) 2942-7894 in Cologne, Germany. This magazine will serve as a valuable resource for staying informed and staying ahead in the field of Kurdish studies and Middle East affairs. For 25 years, TISHK Magazine has made significant contributions to the discussion and dissemination of information about Kurdistan.

The TISHK Magazine will feature a wide range of articles, interviews, and analysis from leading scholars, researchers, and experts in the field. It will cover various topics related to Kurdistan, including politics, culture, history, language, literature, and more. Through its publication, the TISHK Magazine seeks to provide a space for scholars, researchers, and experts to share their insights, analysis, and findings on various aspects of Kurdish studies. It will cover a wide range of topics including history, culture, language, politics, social issues, and contemporary challenges faced by Kurds.

Beginning with the issue of TISHK Magazine, Spring 2024, Vol. 25, No. 69, the TISHK Center for Kurdistan Studies  assumes responsibility for the publication and content of the magazine, and it is important to note that the TISHK Center assumes no legal responsibility for the content of previous issues of TISHK Magazine. We are proud to carry on this tradition and continue to provide quality content that reflects the rich cultural heritage and current developments in Kurdistan.

The establishment of Tishk Magazine draws upon the extensive expertise gained from the publication of Govari Tishk (Tishk Magazine) by Kurdish intellectuals since the 1990s. With its 68 printed editions, Govari Tishk emerged as a pioneering platform committed to rigorous academic exploration. It offered theoretical insights, analytical perspectives, lively discussions and interviews, impactful translations, and insightful book reviews. The magazine delved deep into the intricate fabric of Kurdistan, addressing the Kurdish question and Middle Eastern affairs, while providing a scholarly perspective on issues directly related to Kurdistan. It served as a beacon of knowledge, fostering a profound understanding of this region and its significance within the broader context of the Middle East.
