Abstract
The term Peshmerga, a revered symbol of Kurdish national defense and liberation, has received limited theoretical attention in academic discourse. This book bridges that gap by exploring the concept through the philosophical lens of Plato and the democratic ideals of Dr. Abdul Rahman Ghassemlou. It further examines the life of Hatem Duakhan as a model Peshmerga, highlighting the essential characteristics that define this iconic figure. By investigating the symbolic and cultural significance of Kurdish resistance, the book offers a unique perspective on revolutionary ideals and collective action. It serves as both a reflective analysis and an inspirational guide for those who proudly carry the title of Peshmerga. This work aims to motivate a continued struggle for democracy and the liberation of Kurdistan, portraying the Peshmerga as a powerful embodiment of hope and resilience.
